The Girls' room, ah Strombecker!

This is a little strombecker set with red and yellow knobs. It originally came withis this ducky rocker, which Boyd loves!
CC and her kewpie doll. Look, Shale! It's the tiny doll houses we found in Alameda.
Cecile tells the younger children a story.

The signature ducky rocker.

I love this Strombecker nursery. I have been trying to find one for a while, for Daphne's nieces in the Strombecker house.

I am watching one on eBay, but it is missing the ducky so I think I will just wait a bit longer.

Every once in a while the rocker comes up by itself. I would collect the furniture then the ducky or vise versa. I had to buy a couple sets which was ok as some of the pieces were in bad shape.

Did both beds come in the one set or is that part of two sets? I found a set in my attic with the box, but it just has one of each so I wasn't sure if it was the whole thing.

Hi Jessica, good question. I have mostly seen the sets with 2 beds but not in the box. I am a my elder daughter's house and hve some books at my house that may show the packaging. I'll ask around too. Thanks CM

Jessica, google the history of dollhouses and find the entry by Mckendry. Go to her 1930's page for Strombecker. She says there was a set for 10 pieces and lists them with only one bed. C
